“I’m against high ticket coaching because I don’t advocate people going into debt and putting payments on credit cards, and getting into arguments with their spouses about their investments. This is why I don't charge high ticket prices in my coaching business”

👆🏽 Someone in my private group posted this (and in several other groups) today and I need to address it, because it covers something that not many people understand or realize.

WE MAKE ALL THE RULES UP ABOUT WHAT IS OR ISN’T TRUE ABOUT OUR BUSINESSES AND LIVES.

AKA…

• Just because you went into debt to hire a coach, does not mean that every person who hires a high ticket coach goes into debt.

• Just because you put your coaching payments on credit cards, does not mean every person does that.

• Just because you had arguments with your spouse or whoever about investing in your coach, does not mean that happens for every person.

• Just because someone doesn’t have testimonials when they first charge a high ticket price, or YOU didn’t have a good experience with a good coach, DOES NOT MEAN EVERY COACH THAT CHARGES A HIGH TICKET PRICE ISN’T QUALIFIED OR THAT THEIR SERVICE IS NOT WORTH IT.

BUT…

If you operate your business from a state of believing & accepting that all of the above is true? i.e. that if you:

charge a high ticket price, you are hurting others because they will get into fights and go into debt and rack up bad credit and get into arguments and you’re really not qualified because you don’t have testimonials therefore if you charged a high ticket price you’d be a fuckin swindler…) 😂🪦

THEN THAT IS WHAT WILL COME TRUE FOR YOU.

That’ll be your reality - it’ll be the glasses or "lens" you see EVERYTHING from.

These limiting beliefs/rules ARE NO DIFFERENT THEN THINKING IF YOU SELL THAT YOU ARE A BAD PERSON.

They’re just another way of preventing yourself from achieving what is possible in your business (regardless of whether or not you choose to do high ticket coaching.)

SO WHAT IF INSTEAD…

You could see your coaching services (HIGH TICKET OR NOT, DOESN’T MATTER) as OF THE HIGHEST ULTIMATE SERVICE. You decided that just because YOU had to go into debt and maybe got in an argument with your hubs about investing, THAT IT DOESN’T MEAN THAT’S THE REALITY/RULE FOR THE PEOPLE YOU COACH. (And therefore, it’s FINE if you decide you want to be a higher ticket coach.)

You realized that your 2 doctorate degrees and multiple certs were actually already ENOUGH.. or the experience you already have in your field IS ALREADY ENOUGH.. and that your work is fucking TRANSFORMATIONAL and life changing.. and you ALREADY ARE deserving of massive compensation.

(💡 BONUS: VALUE IS DECIDED BETWEEN THE COACH AND THE CLIENT - NOT ANYONE ELSE’S OPINIONS ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE SHOULD OR SHOULDN’T PAY. If the two parties agree and the value/transformation is delivered, then your blanket-statement opinion about what others should/shouldn’t charge is essentially meaningless.)

I can honestly see where that post in my group was coming from.

But it’s not ALWAYS true.

And I feel I had to write this, so that other people can UNDERSTAND that these little “rules” we make up about how business gets to be are often completely influenced by our OWN limiting beliefs and experiences - and the opinions of others.

We get to make up all the fucking rules.

It’s funny.

Yesterday, my very first high ticket client, who paid me $4,500 to business coach him, messaged me and told me how much I had truly changed his entire life. Like literally, he would have still been in a little town in Kansas, trying to run a biz he wasn’t fulfilled in that wasn’t making him any money, wouldn’t have discovered the business he had now (which I helped teach him to build + scale).. and if he hadn't moved, he wouldn't have met his now wife, and had his now son, either.

And no, when he hired me, I didn’t have a testimonial to give him. He didn't CARE.

I showed up for HIM with what I did know - taught him the lessons I had learned from the mistakes I had made in my first fitness coaching business (HELLA valuable wisdom to be able to pass onto clients), and the stuff I had learned from my first two business mentors that I had been applying and succeeding with in my own biz.

He LITERALLY just was taking all the free training and shit I was doing in my group, and applying it to his biz, and seeing wins, and I was truly there for him and cared SO MUCH. That's why he paid me a high ticket price.

During our time together, he made HUGE personal life changes, and that is the value of high ticket coaching. Along with yes, financial. But it’s not about financial when it comes to high ticket. IT’S YOUR ABILITY TO CHANGE SOMEONE’S LIFE.

So, who are we to judge?

To place our rules on others about what is or isn’t right in business, without the context?

It doesn’t matter if you’re a high ticket or low ticket coach.

If we have beliefs that people can’t pay us or will get hurt if they pay us - then that’s the reality that manifests.

SO WOULDN’T YOU WANT TO CHOOSE A BETTER WAY? If you knew you could choose? (you can) 🩷

A BETTER SET OF BELIEFS THAT COULD PUSH YOUR BUSINESS FURTHER, HELP MORE PEOPLE, AND IN THE PROCESS, CHANGE YOUR OWN LIFE? And idk, maybe get YOU out of debt?

It requires you take a good hard look at your own beliefs around selling though, before that’s possible.

Are you REALLY being real with yourself right now?

Or are you holding yourself back from your potential?
