How I turned a $30 Candle into Over $60k in Sales (And Changed People's Lives FOREVER)

In 2017, my first year in business.. I was walking around inside a local clothing boutique, when I came across this exact brands of candle in the photo.

My 1st thought was: "Oh my god this smells like money. Like wealth."

My 2nd thought (after checking the price tag): "This is way too much for a candle. I can't afford it. My business is barely making money yet."

But as I put that candle back on the shelf, and kept walking around the store.. something inside me shifted.

It was a FUCK THIS SHIT moment.

I was so damn tired of:

• of the voice in my head, always telling me "there's not enough."

• of feeling anxious, guilty + ashamed every single time I spent money on myself.

• of having money, but feeling too scared and paralyzed to spend it, out of the fear it would all go away & disappear.

And in that moment, I decided:

"I want to become the type of woman who buys a $30 candle, because she loves it, without thinking twice about the price."

I went back, grabbed the $30 candle I had put back on the shelf, and as I stood there at the cash register: all of my money 'shit' started coming up.

My chest & throat tightened. My heart started racing. I felt sweaty. Most of all, I remember having this anxious repeating thought that "there isn't going to be enough money on my card for the candle."

(Even though I logically knew, there was plenty of money on it because I had checked my balance just moments before. Plus another 3x even before I walked into the store. Lol.)

Despite the anxiety, I KNEW in my soul that in order to become this wealthy & worthy woman.. I had to take the action I would take - if I ALREADY felt worthy of spending on myself.

*no matter how triggered I felt in that moment

BY THE TIME I GOT HOME THAT NIGHT..

My fear + anxiety about spending on a desire, had begun to transform into a different bodily sensation entirely. A FEELING OF SAFETY, EMPOWERMENT & EXCITEMENT AROUND MONEY. 💰

I learned one of the most powerful lessons of my career that day.

It finally clicked in my soul, that feeling safe and worthy of my desires, of money, of spending on myself...

❌ wasn't about making more of it

❌ wasn't about never spending it

❌ wasn't about endlessly journaling or meditating about worthiness & abundance

It was (and always will be) about taking the ACTIONS you would already take.. if you felt worthy & safe with money NOW. This is how you 'prove' to your nervous system that it actually IS safe.

BUT WAIT, the story doesn't end there! 😂

After having this enormous AHA moment/realization, I felt the intuitive nudge to go make an Instagram post about this $30 candle. 🔮 AGAIN: shame, fear & unworthiness popped up - "who am I to talk about money when I haven't made 6-figures yet?"

I applied the same rule I'd just used, when buying the candle: "would I post the post, if my message was already worthy of being shared (no matter how much $$ I have or haven't made yet)?"

Obviously, YES. I would. And I wanted to BE the type of woman who was making 6-figures easily (even though I'd just started my coaching business.)

So I wrote it.. and the response I got was beyond what I could have even visualized in my own mind.

That $30 candle post, ended up being the exact thing that DID push my biz to 6-figures (within 3.5 months of starting my biz coaching business.)

Because right around that same time, I was about to launch my first high ticket group program, ever.

And MULTIPLE PEOPLE WHO ENDED UP JOINING ⬇️ TOLD ME THAT

• They'd found me from my $30 candle post ..

• That post was THE biggest thing that made them want to work with me

Wanna know the most mindblowing part?

A few months later I ended up calculating the total customer spend, for each of these clients who had specifically found me though my $30 candle post, and went on to hire me.

Over $60k in sales.

Because they didn't JUST buy that 1st program.

They bought the next, and the next, and many of them are STILL MY CLIENTS TODAY, 7 years later.

AND IT ALL STARTED, with that ONE decision to say yes to the $30 candle.

To say YES to taking action with money from self-worth.. as the version of the woman I wanted to be.

2. to take action from status quo survival / fear

Making a fuckload more money & building an empire is NOT gonna be about ONE thing or ONE strategy or ONE action.

It's about the MOMENTUM that builds every single time you make a choice with money that represents the woman you want to be.. which can be as small as buying a $30 candle, or posting a post about it, or starting the podcast & choosing to straight up sell your first group program ever on it ..

None of those things alone will create a million dollar business.

But all of it together will.

So remember .... each small decision made differently, will change your life & business, forever.
